We believe that nobody should struggle financially to receive healthcare. Every year, 500,000 families in the United States declare bankruptcy due to large medical bills. People should not have their lives destroyed because they can’t afford something they require to survive. At Walnut, we’re on a mission to increase access to healthcare by making it more affordable.
What we do
Walnut is a fintech company that expands financial access to healthcare. We’re building a point-of-sale embedded lending platform that makes healthcare more affordable for patients by breaking up large medical bills into small, monthly payments. The best part? No fees ever. This helps patients actually afford healthcare and helps healthcare providers capture more revenue and increase collections. We’ve raised over $110 million from prominent investors including Gradient Ventures (Google’s AI-focused venture fund), Plaid, Afore Capital, 2048 Ventures, Newark Venture Partners, Supernode Ventures, CityRock Venture Partners, and others.

✍️ About the Role
🔨 What You’ll Do
-Run a full cycle sales process from prospecting to closing
-Prospect new business through emailing/cold calling and generate a pipeline of opportunities with Digital Health teams, providers, and health systems
-Hit your monthly goals with key targeted accounts
-Log activity and manage a growing pipeline through Salesforce, Salesloft, and other tools/technologies provided to you
-Build and maintain relationships with Executive and Leadership teams
-Embrace ambiguity and hold a high level of individual accountability
-Actively seek out personal and professional growth to continue sharpening your skill-set
-Embrace, embody and represent the Walnut company culture at all times
🙌 What We’re Looking For
-2+ years of inside sales experience with a history of proven past performance, meeting or exceeding expectations
-Previous experience with closing deals in the Digital Health industry
-Possess a very positive attitude and an understanding of the dynamics involved with organizational growth and change
-Proven ability to manage the sales process
-Open to feedback and willing to be coached
-Passion for building a better patient experience
-Ability to work independently, communicate proactively, manage multiple projects and prioritize daily tasks while managing critical deadlines
-Ability to maintain an outstanding level of market, customer, and product knowledge necessary to meet sales and marketing objectives
